Chancellor-designate Angela Merkel said
reducing unemployment and fixing Germany's budget deficit
will be her priorities as Germany's leader, but cautioned
in an interview released Saturday that weeks of hard work
are still needed to get a new government in place.
Asked what she wanted to be judged by after four years in
office, Merkel told the weekly Der Spiegel that
"unemployment must fall in this parliamentary term.""
