Vietnamese Health Minister Tran Thi Trung Chien and her Indonesian counterpart Siti Fadilah Supari have agreed to increase bilateral cooperation in healthcare services, personnel training, the fight against infectious diseases and in researching and producing pharmaceutical products, according to VNA. The agreement was signed at the end of the talks between the two health ministers during the Vietnamese health minister's four-day working visit to Indonesia beginning October 10. Accordingly, cooperation in combating infectious diseases will focus on sharing information, particularly on newly-emerging diseases like bird flu, and exchanging experiences in laboratory work.
