In implementation of the order of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to provide Pakistan and India with urgent assistance worth $ 10 million to the affected people as result of the recent devastating earthquake that hit the two countries, the Saudi Red Crescent Society has formed a central committee headed by the Society's Relief Director General Salim bin Sulaiman Al-Ahmed. The Committee included six subcommittees for Medical Affairs; Financial and Administrative Affairs; Follow up of Freight and Aviation with the Air Forces; Information Affairs; Coordination and Follow up and International Documentation. On the other hand, a team of specialists in disasters has been sent to Pakistan to assess the needs of medical services.
