A number of officials praised Prince Naif Contest for Memorization of Prophet's Sayings, considering the contest as an integration of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud International Prize for Prophet's Sunnah (tradition) and Contemporary Islamic Studies. In statements to the Saudi Press Agency, they stressed that the contest comes as an embodiment of the Saudi government's interest in adherence to the Prophet's Sunnah. The officials who hailed the contest included Undersecretary of the governorate of Madinah region Abdulkareem Alhnaini, Vice General President of the Prophet's Mosques Affairs Sheikh Abdulaziz Alfalih and Mayor of Madinah region Abdulaziz Alhosain.
