Two Palestinians were killed early Friday in an exchange of gunfire with Israeli troops during a raid by the soldiers on a West Bank refugee camp, Palestinian security officials and witnesses said, according to DPA. They said the gunbattle started as an Israeli army force, backed by several armoured vehicles, stormed the Balata refugee camp near Nablus as part of a six-day military operation against Palestinians in the West Bank. They added that several other Palestinians were injured and detained by the soldiers.
