Prince William, elder son of Britain's Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana, has become patron of a youth homelessness charity once chaired by his mother, reported dpa today. The patronage of Centrepoint is the first adopted by the 23-year-old prince and marked a "new stage in his life within the royal family", the palace in London said Tuesday. As a child, William was often taken along by his mother on visits to the charity's night shelters.
