Portuguese President Jorge Sampaio patronized here yesterday the inaugural ceremony of the exhibition of Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, the Governor of the Assir region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. On arrival at the venue, the Portuguese President was greeted by Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, a number of senior officials as well as Saudi ambassador to Portugal Mohammed Al-Rasheed. Speaking on the occasion, Prince Khaled Al-Faisal expressed happiness over organizing the exhibition in Portugal, and hoped that it would lead to further enhancing cultural cooperation between the Kingdom and Portugal. Prince Khaled noted that a program will be announced for exchange of visits by the Saudi and Portuguese artists. On his part, the Portuguese President welcomed Prince Khaled and the accompanying delegation, and underscored the important role that could be played by the show in cementing Saudi-Portuguese cultural cooperation. "The show will provide a good opportunity to the Portuguese people to get acquainted with the beautiful natural sceneries in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," he said. --MORE 1147 Local Time 0847 GMT
