International parliaments heads conference continues its deliberations in New York

The Second Conference for the heads of International Conferences continued its deliberations at the United Nations headquarters in New York today under the Chairman of the International Parliamentarians Federation Sergio Pierre.
Kofi Annan, the Secretary General of the United Nations General Assembly and heads of participating delegations were also present.
Addressing today's session, was Assistant Chairman of the Shoura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Salih bin Saud Al Ali, who led the Saudi delegation to the meeting.
He highlighted the role of parliaments in helping their governments to bring about peace and justice and eradicate grievance and conflict.
He cast light on the arrangements taken by the Kingdom's authorities towards providing assistance to the needy all over the world.
