Prince Saud Alfaisal, the Foreign Minister, left Cairo tonight after having led the Saudi delegation to the 124th session of the Arab Foreign Ministers Council. In a statement to reporters following the closing session, Prince Saud said the prevailing trend among the Arab foreign ministers as they were discussing the date of the extraordinary Arab summit is how to forge ideas that would be discussed at the summit, particularly pertaining to Iraq and Palestine. When such strategy for the subjects of discussion was put, then invitations could be sent, he said, adding that what is important is the outcome of the summit rather than just holding a meeting. Regarding the Kingdom's proposal of setting up an international center for combating terrorism, Prince Saud said "first of all, we have asked the United Nations to form a task team to study the idea of establishing such a center and submit the idea to the United Nations General Assembly's forthcoming session when a report on fighting terrorism is discussed".
