Iraqi President Talabani to visit Bush next week

U.S. President George W. Bush will meet with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani next week at the White House, according to a statement released Wednesday and carried by dpa.
Bush and Talabani, who will meet on Tuesday, are to discuss "progress in the war on terrorism" and the status of the draft Iraqi constitution.
Preparations for the referendum in October on the Iraqi constitution, which has yet to be adopted by the interim National Assembly after months of strife, and for national elections in December under the new constitution will also be discussed.
