Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz chaired the weekly session of the Council of Ministers here today. At the beginning of the session, the King briefed the council on talks he held with King Abdullah II of Jordan which focused on the latest Arab, Islamic and international developments especially the situation in the Palestinian territories and Iraq in addition to discussion of prospects of cooperation between the two countries. The king appreciated the initiative taken by the chambers of commerce and industry in the kingdom to adopt a voluntary minimum wage of SR1,500 per month for Saudis working in the private sector. The king was happy for this constructive response by businessmen. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency following the session, Minister of Social Affairs and Acting Minister of Culture and Information Mr. Abdulmohsin bin Abdulaziz Ala'kkas said that the council was then briefed on regional and international developments. --More 2035 Local Time 1735 GMT
