Saudi Minister of Education Dr Abdullah bin Salih Al-Obeid has highlighted the great attention given by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to the international scouts movement. In a statement to The Saudi Press Agency, Dr Al-Obeid said the Saudi paper at the 37th international scouts conference, currently in progress in the Tunisian city of Hamamat, will explain the Kingdom's experience in the field of scouts work. He noted that the centenary anniversary of the establishment of the international scouts movement, due to be observed in 2007, will be one of the major topics of the conference. Highlighting the Kingdom's pioneering role in the scouts sphere, Dr Al-Obeid said the Saudi Scouts Society was established in 1381 H, and it was internationally recognized in 1383H. He pointed out that the strategy of the Saudi Scouts is based on four major principles, namely: Authenticity, the Principles of the international scouts, Quality in work and production, and Innovation. --MORE 1319 Local Time 1019 GMT
