The unemployed protesters had gathered for a second straight day outside a municipal building demanding jobs and began pelting riot police with rocks, according to a report of The Associated Press. Police responded by firing tear gas and bullets into the air. But witnesses said the situation was spinning out of control, with rival security forces firing at each other.
