A U.S. military review panel voted against disbanding the Pennsylvania Air National Guard's 111th Fighter Wing on Friday, shortly after a federal judge ruled that the Pentagon violated the law in seeking its closure, Reuters reported.
However, the Defense Base Closure and Realignment Commission voted to allow the Pentagon to proceed with plans to close the base that houses the unit, the Willow Grove Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base near Philadelphia.
