Six Iraqi civilians were killed and three wounded when gunmen burst into a popular cafe in a town north of Baghdad on Thursday, health officials told Reuters. The attack happened in Abu Sayda, about 60km (37 miles) from the Iraqi capital. The official said the men were having breakfast when the assailants sprayed them with gunfire. It was not immediately clear who was behind the attack or why the men were targeted. Sunni insurgents are fighting the Shi'ite- and Kurd-dominated government and their U.S. backers and often target civilians they accuse of cooperating with them, Reuters said. --SP 1116 Local Time 0816 GMT
