The Tokyo stock market ended lower Friday on profit-taking and rising oil-price forecasts by Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Merrill Lynch & Co., dpa reported. The 225-issue Nikkei average fell 15.64 points, or 0.13 per cent, to 12,291.73. The broader Topix index of all first section issues dropped 2.44 points, or 0.19 per cent, to stand at 1,250.50. The change in Goldman Sachs' and Merrill Lynch's forecasts gave a renewed rise in fears that oil prices would cut economic growth as investors also cashed in the shares of recent winners. On currency markets, the U.S. dollar was quoted at 3 p.m. (0800 GMT) at 110.48-50 yen, stronger than the 110.24-26 yen at the same time Thursday. The euro was down at 1.2167-69 dollars from 1.2264-66 dollars on Thursday. --SP 1511 Local Time 1211 GMT
