The Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has ordered the increase of salaries of the Saudis working at the governmental departments, either at civil or military posts, as well as pensioners, by 15 percent with the exclusion of Ministers and occupiers of excellent ranks. Secondly, gratuities of members of the Shoura (consultative) Council will increase also by 15 percent. Thirdly: a month basic salary including the aforesaid increase will be paid to occupiers of the fifth ranks and other lower ranks, hired workers, imams, muezzins (prayer callers) and servants of mosques, as well as those whose basic salaries are equivalent to the basic salaries of the fifth rank. --more 1046 Local Time 0746 GMT
