A royal order was issued here today amending article IV of the organization of the Supreme Economic Council. The amendment appointed the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz as president of the council and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, as his deputy. The royal order also stated that members of the council will be comprised of the chairman of the general committee of the cabinet, two ministers of state who are members of the cabinet, ministers of labor, commerce and industry, petroleum and mineral resources, finance, economy, planning, water and electricity and governor of Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency.
