US President George W. Bush has expressed deep sorrow over the death of King Fahd bin Abdulaziz and described him as a 'wise' leader who had earned the respect of the entire world. In a statement issued by the White House last night, President Bush offered condolences in his name and in the name of the American Government and people to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Royal Family and the Saudi Government and People. He said the deceased was a friend of the US at the level of bilateral relations, and a close friend of his contemporary US Presidents.
