King Abdullah has worked hard to boost investment in the kingdom. During a gathering in Riyadh, he proposed the establishment of a general secretariat for the International Energy Forum with its headquarters in Riyadh. The proposal was later approved. King Abdullah has been keen to participate in international, Arab and regional gatherings. He has been taking noble stands towards Arab and Islamic causes topped by the Palestinian cause. In this context, he introduced a proposal for a comprehensive and just settlement of the Palestinian cause and proposed extensive aid to the Palestinians.
