BBC: Police evacuate Birmingham's central entertainment district

Police late Saturday in Birmingham, England evacuated part of the city centre, broadcaster BBC reported.
The entertainment district, home to pubs, nightclubs and restaurants, was closed and patrons and workers were ordered out of the area and urged to go home, according to DPA.
Police reported that they had obtained information about a threat to the city centre.
