Patient leaps to death from air ambulance helicopter in Poland

A 43-year-old patient jumped to his death out of an air ambulance helicopter in the southern Polish city of Sosnowiec Saturday as he was being air-lifted to hospital.
The Polish PAP news agency reported the man was being hospitalised for injuries sustained in an automobile accident which saw his car crash into a tree.
The man apparently broke the leg of a male nurse in a kicking fit inside the helicopter. He then jumped out of the helicopter just as it was about to land, DPA reported.
A hospital spokesman told the PAP, medical staff aboard the air craft had taken all safety precautions regarding the patient.
Police were investigation the fatality.
