Brazil came from behind to score two late goals and snatch victory from the brink of defeat to finish third at the World Youth Championships after beating Morocco 2-1 in Utrecht on Saturday. Goals by Fabio Santos and Edcarlos in the last two minutes of the game gave the South Americans the bronze medal. The Morroccans dominated the first half against the defending champions. Tarik Bendamou and Nabil El Zhar combined effectively up front and put the Brazilian defence under constant pressure, without managing to find the last touch though. In first half injury time Morocco finally got the break they deserved when Adil Hermach's shot was deflected in his own goal by Brazilian defender Edcarlos. The South Americans came out of the changing room a different side and pushed forward in search of an equalising goal. They came close in the 74th minute when substitute Filipe saw his shot crash against the upright and several players failed to get the rebound over the line. Brazil levelled matters three minutes from the end after substitute Yassine Zouchou committed an unnecessary foul near the corner flag and was sent off for a second bookable offence. The resultant free kick was punched down onto his own goalline by Mohammed Bourkadi and Fabio Santos was on hand to poke the ball over the line. Worse was to follow as the Brazilians scored the winner in injury time when Edcarlos made amends for his earlier own goal by heading past Bourkadi to give Brazil an undeserved victory. The final between Nigeria and Argentina takes place later Saturday, also in Utrecht. --SP 2107 Local Time 1807 GMT
