Prince Turki Alfaisal, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Kingdom and Ireland, underscored the importance of searching for the motives behind the acts of terror, confirming that that by no means isn't a call to forge an understanding of what they commit but instead a circulation of an agreeable definition of terrorism that it is any action targeting civilians and innocents. Addressing a meeting at the European Parliament in Brussels under the title "Building of Peace and Fragmenting Terrorism", organized by an alliance of European liberals and democrats in the European Parliament, Prince Turki said the paper representing his group at the conference adopted a definition of terrorism which was approved by an anti-terrorism conference held in Riyadh last February. He recalled that Riyadh conference confirmed that whatever terrorists say to justify their actions is unacceptable and should be condemned without reservations. He said Islamic countries might be sensitive towards criticism that they should make some reforms, including their address towards other cultures and civilizations. Prince Turki gave a summary of the efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to fight terrorism locally and internationally, citing a call by Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, to set up an international center for combating terrorism to be based in Riyadh. Prince Turki also dealt with the definition of state terrorism, noting that it is an important issue which found its way to the debate in the United Nations General Assembly without getting a concerted concept.
