U.S. software company Microsoft and Japanese electronics maker Toshiba, which have a cross-licensing agreement on computer and video patents, are set to strengthen their alliance Monday, both sides said. Microsoft Corp. Chairman Bill Gates and Toshiba Corp. President Atsutoshi Nishida will disclose details of the new agreement at a Tokyo hotel, the Associated Press quoted the companies as saying. Microsoft and Toshiba signed an agreement in April on sharing patents on audiovisual and computer products, and they are expected to strengthen that deal.
