Shares rose 1.16 percent to a fresh all-time high as stronger oil and base metals prices boosted stocks like miner BHP Billiton and oil and gas producer Woodside. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index finished up for a fifth straight session, adding 49.5 points to close at 4,312.2, taking gains for the week to 2.1 percent, or 90.5 points. JOHANNESBURG - Buoyant metals prices helped sweep stocks to a fresh peak, but brewer SABMiller tumbled on worries about a U.S. price war, a possible expensive takeover and a stock overhang. The All-share index closed at 14,326.59 points, up 115.85 or 0.82 percent, a rise of 297.53 since last week. The All Gold index closed at 1,718.72 points, up 27.17 or 1.61 percent, gaining 103.16 points on the week.
