The index gained 24.09 points over the week. MILAN - The All Share Mibtel index closed at 24,938 points, down 7 or 0.03 percent, adding 264 points since June 10. TOKYO - The Nikkei share average topped 11,500 for the first time since April 14, putting on 0.86 percent for a sixth day of gains as high copper and gold prices spurred buying of Sumitomo Metal Mining and other commodities-related issues. The Nikkei ended up 97.65 points at 11,514.03, climbing 209.80 points over the week. HONG KONG - Stocks rose more than half a percent with Bank of America's announcement that it will take a stake in China Construction Bank further revving up the market after news of strong demand for the upcoming IPO of Bank of Communications. The blue-chip Hang Seng Index ended up 0.57 percent, or 78.50 points, at 13,912.03.
