Violence erupts outside al-Aqsa mosque

Quds city, June 6, SPA -- Israeli police faced off against stone-throwing Palestinians outside al-Aqsa mosque on Monday during Israel's annual celebration of its capture of all of Arab East Jerusalem 38 years ago.
Reuters quoted a police spokesman as saying that forces moved onto al-Haram al-Sharif (Noble Sanctuary), after several hundred Palestinians threw stones at Jewish visitors near the shrine. He said two Jewish visitors were hurt.
