Ghana clawed back from a goal down in the first half to beat Burkina Faso 2-1 in their World Cup Africa Zone Group Two qualifier at the Kumasi Sports Stadium in Central Ghana on Sunday. Burkina Faso's Moumouni Dagano went round a defender before firing home just before the half hour to give the visitors the lead. However, Ghana's captain Stephen Appiah converted a penalty kick to put Ghana even some 10 minutes into the second half when Joetex Frimpong was fouled in the box. Dutch-based Matthew Amoah scored the winner with eight minutes left on the clock when he finished off a perfect pass from skipper Appiah. Other countries in the Group are South Africa, Cape Verde, Congo DR and Uganda. ---SP 2353 Local Time 2053 GMT
