Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli on Friday told his counterparts from the Commonwealth of Independent Nations, a grouping of 12 former Soviet republics, that the organization had failed to live up to its promise. "No visa-free regime has been observed in the CIS, although that is the main principle of the Commonwealth," he was quoted as saying by the ITAR-Tass news agency. He also criticized the group for failing to ensure its members' territorial integrity. Nogaideli said the group should be reformed so that members could pursue their primary interests within it. "For Georgia, the most important interest is conflict settlement and restoration of the country's territorial integrity," he said.
