Minister of Culture and Information Iyad bin Ameen Madani conferred at his office in Riyadh today with editors-in-chief of local newspapers and magazines on current matters of mutual concern. At the outset of the meeting, Madani lauded the great role played by the Saudi media in general, and the press in particular, in dealing with the local, regional and international incidents. He underscored the importance of the press adapting itself with the latest developments in the field of information revolution. The editors-in-chief exchanged view points with the minister on a number of issues of concern to the two. The meeting was attended by Prince Turki bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Culture and Information; Dr. Abdullah Aljaser, Undersecretary for Information Affairs; Misfer Almisfer, Supervisor of Internal Information; Mohammed Omer Sabbagh, Supervisor General of the Minister's office; and Abdulaziz Alghamdi, Acting Director General of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
