The foreign ministers of Russia and Georgia signed an agreement on Monday under which Russia will withdraw its troops during 2008, The Associated Press reported. Georgian Foreign Minister called the agreement "an important and constructive step. We have achieved the goal for which we have long been working." Her Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, said the agreement meant the withdrawal could take place "without any kind of discomfort for the soldiers" and said the pact would "help further develop our relations."
