Former U.S. President Bill Clinton arrived in Indonesia on Monday to visit the Indonesian city of Banda Aceh -- worst hit by the December 26 tsunami -- a day after holding meetings in the Maldives to get water and sanitation restored there. Clinton is visiting as U.N. special envoy for tsunami recovery. Clinton, who had heart bypass surgery last September, arrived in the Indonesian province of Aceh on Monday from the Maldives, where his delegation canceled a trip to an outlying island on Saturday. He visited India last Friday and Sri Lanka on Sunday. The Associated Press quoted some officials on the island nation as saying that the cancellation was due to bad weather, while others said Clinton was feeling exhausted. Clinton met local officials for briefings on reconstruction efforts in Aceh, where more than 126,000 people died and thousands more are missing in the Dec. 26 disaster. More than 176,000 died when a massive undersea earthquake sent tsunami waves crashing into coastlines of a dozen countries on the Indian Ocean's rim.
