Reports by the Egyptian Ministry of Industry and Commerce indicated a large increase in the volume of trade between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt during the last four years. The reports issued today explained that Egyptian exports to the kingdom in 2001 were USD115.8 million and increased in 2002 to USD133.6 million. In 2003, they were USD183.5 million and in 2004, they reached USD221.1 million. The reports stated that Egyptian imports from the kingdom in 2001 were USD686.2 million and decreased in 2002 to USD344.4 million. In 2003, they again decreased to USD257.7 million while in 2004, they increased to USD497.4 million.
