The son of Lebanon's slain former premier Rafik Hariri announced Sunday his list of candidates who will contest with him parliamentary elections scheduled to begin March 29, dpa reported. Among the names on Saadeddin Hariri's voting list is Solange Gemayel, the wife of Bashir Gemayel, a prominent Christian leader and head of the Phalangist party, who was elected president of Lebanon in 1982 during the height of the Lebanese civil war. Gemayel was killed in a bomb blast in east Beirut on September 14, 1982, nine days before his official inauguration. "The voting list represents the unity of Lebanon," said Saadeddine, who was chosen by the Hariri family to continue his father's political path. Rafik Hariri was assassinated on February 14 along with 20 others. -- SP 2219 Local Time 1919 GMT
