Iraq parliament appoints six new ministers

Iraq's parliament approved the selection of six new government ministers on Sunday, Prime Minister Ibrahim Jaafari said, leaving only one post to fill before the full cabinet line-up is completed.
Jaafari told a news conference that Saadoun al-Dulaimi had been named defence minister and Ibrahim Bahr al-Uloum was the new oil minister, Reuters reported.
