Syria's Foreign Minister Farouk Al-Shara said relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Syria have been good and continually developing at various levels. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency and the Saudi Television following the talks held here today between Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard and Syria's President Dr. Bashar Al-Assad, he noted that the Crown Prince's visits to France and the United States have been successful, useful, positive and in the interest of all Arabs. Al-Shara stressed that Arab countries are in need of more solidarity and unity and they need to show their just demands to all countries that can assist them. We appreciate the Kingdom's efforts in this direction as they are in the general interests and in the interests of the Kingdom, Syria, Lebanon, the Palestinians and the Arab people, he added.
