India's foreign minister praised Pakistani President Gen. Pervez Musharraf for his efforts to promote peace between the two nations, and said in an interview published Saturday that relations between the two countries hadn't been better in decades. Commenting on the inauguration of a new bus service between Indian- and Pakistani-controlled sides of divided Kashmir, Indian Foreign Minister Natwar Singh told The Hindu newspaper that Musharraf's role was instrumental. "I must say that without his (Musharraf's) personal involvement, it would not have been possible to have the bus service started," Singh was quoted as saying.
