Three bombs exploded Sunday in Thailand's southern town of Had Yai at a French-owned Carrefour convenience store, the provincial airport and a hotel, killing two people and injuring at least 25 others, according to Thai media reports. The explosions were believed to be the handiwork of militants. Deputy Interior Minister Somsak Pongpanich told local TV stations that the bomb at the airport killed two people and injured 20 others, while the one at Carrefour injured another five. No one was injured by the bomb at the hotel. All flights were cancelled from the airport and mobile phone service was cut off, since many recent bombings have been triggered by signals sent via mobile phones.
