Iraq's parliament will announce the names of the country's new president, vice presidents and prime minister by Wednesday, ending weeks of political deadlock, leaders of the main blocs in parliament said. Shi'ite and Kurdish leaders have agreed that Jalal Talabani, a Kurd, will be president, and Shi'ite politician Ibrahim Jaafari will be prime minister. Shi'ite candidate Adel Abdul Mahdi is expected to be one of the vice presidents, but more talks are needed to select a Sunni Arab vice president, Reuters reported.
