German cyclist Danilo Hondo was on Friday suspended by his Team Gerolsteiner after failing two doping tests at a recent race in Spain, team officials said. Gerolsteiner said that Hondo submitted the samples containing a not named stimulant at the Murcia Tour in March. Hondo, who also in March finished second at the classic Milan-San Remo race, was quoted as saying that he was shocked by the news of the positive test. --SP 2309 Local Time 2009 GMT
