Kyrgyzstan's acting prosecutor-general said Monday that ousted President Askar Akayev was in neighboring Kazakhstan holding talks with members of the new Kyrgyz leadership over his resignation, adding to the political uncertainty following the fall of Akayev's government last week. In another sign of political disorder in the Central Asian country, acting Prosecutor-General Azimbek Beknazarov also said he had not been in contact with interim leader Kurmanbek Bakiyev in two days.
