The Council of the International Islamic Call and Relief (CIICR) has urged the Muslim and Christian worlds to shoulder their responsibility towards the threats faced by the Islamic and Christian sanctuaries in the occupied Al-Quds city, notably Al-Aqsa mosque. The council, in a statement issued on Saturday, announced its plans to organize a conference next month with the participation of the Islamic and Christian organizations as well as the organizations of the civil society. The conference aims at drawing attention to the dangerous situation faced by the sanctuaries in Al-Quds city and its adverse impact on Al-Aqsa Mosque. The statement noted that the dangerous situations caused by the threat of some extremist groups in Israel will undermine the global peace. The Cairo-based Council, which includes 82 Islamic organizations, called for coordinating efforts for the protection of the sanctuaries.
