The chief of Europe's leading security organization will travel to Kyrgyzstan for talks on resolving the crisis in the Central Asian country, the group said Friday. The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe will dispatch its secretary general, Jan Kubis, to offer his help in restoring stability to Kyrgyzstan. Kubis is a fluent Russian speaker and expert on the region. He launched a similar diplomatic effort in Ukraine last year. The OSCE has already sent Alojz Peterle, a former foreign minister from Slovenia, to help contribute to peaceful efforts to resolve the conflict. Kubis is expected to arrive Sunday.
