U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Robert Zoellick will visit the capital cities of 14 NATO countries beginning Monday in his first trip abroad since taking over the post, the State Department said Thursday. On his nine-day trip, Zoellick will visit Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia and Spain. "You can do the math and divide the number of countries by the number of days to get a sense of how action-packed this trip is going to be," State Department spokesman Adam Ereli said. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has pledged that she or Zoellick will visit the capitals of all 25 NATO countries early in Bush's second term. --SP 0149 Local Time 2249 GMT
