At least 35 dead as tractor-trailer falls in river in Pakistan

A tractor-trailer carrying
pilgrims from a Muslim shrine in central Pakistan veered
off a road and into a fast-flowing river, killing at least
35 people, military police said Saturday.
The accident happened late Friday in the mountainous
region of Dera Ghazi Khan, about 200 kilometers (125 miles)
northwest Multan, a city in Punjab province, said Mohammed
Akhtar, a local military police official.
