Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff General Richard Myers held talks Thursday with Jordan's Regent Prince Faisal on the latest developments in the region and bilateral military cooperation, a official Jordanian government statement said. "Talks during the meeting (touched on) bilateral ties in various military spheres and issues of mutual interest," the statement said. Prince Faisal is standing in for King Abdullah, who is currently on a visit to the U.S. Myers also held separate talks with Chairman of the Jordanian Joint Chiefs of Staff General Khalid Sarayreh on "bilateral relations, various aspects of bilateral cooperation and issues of mutual interest", the statement said. ---SP 2341 Local Time 2041 GMT
