Italian Minister for Reform Roberto Calderoli tendered his resignation on Thursday evening, citing his dissatisfaction with pace of the country's reforms. Calderoli, a member of the rightwing Northern League party, accused the governing coalition of Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi of having a "lack of respect" for the reforms suggested by the Northern League. Calderoli, reform minister since July 2004, took over the office from Umberto Bossi, who resigned for health reasons. ---SP 2341 Local Time 2041 GMT
