The Undersecretary of Labor Ministry for Labor Affairs Ahmed bin Abdulrahman Al-Mansour Al-Zamil stressed that unemployment in the Kingdom has not exceeded 5 percent and the number of job seekers has reached 154,600 in all regions. In a press conference held here today at the outset of the second phase of the ministry's campaign to employ Saudi job seekers, he noted the cooperation between the ministry and the Manpower Development Fund which will pay 50 percent of job seekers' wages for two years. The undersecretary affirmed that no minimum wages are set, but they will be set in accordance with the market, qualifications and certificates of job seekers. As many as 2336 persons have been employed since the start of the campaign on Saturday, he said.
