Azeri President Ilham Aliyev said on Saturday there was no chance of Azerbaijan's opposition coming to power in a "velvet" revolution like the ones in fellow former Soviet republics Georgia and Ukraine. "In Azerbaijan there's no danger of a velvet revolution. Revolutions happen in places where there is a gulf of distrust between the government and the people, which we don't have here," he told reporters. "I will try to work in a way so that the people always support me. My ratings have been high since the election, whereas the opposition has lost the chance of coming to power."
